- Broxbourne Borough Council and Hertfordshire County Council have selected Sovereign Centros as their development partner for a £400m mixed use scheme at Brookfield Riverside, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Located at the Turnford interchange on the A10 the site is just three miles north of London M25 motorway.
- The mixed-use scheme will deliver a new town centre for Hertfordshire with retail, leisure, residential, office, hotel, civic and elderly living accommodation.
- Outline plans for the site include: 230,000 sq ft of retail, 250,000 sq ft of leisure, restaurants and a cinema, 80,000 sq ft of offices including a new civic headquarters, 200 homes, 100 assisted living units, a 2,500-space car park and major public realm. Riverside sits adjacent to Brookfield village which will deliver up to 2000 new residential homes. The site sits adjacent to the existing M&S and Tesco Superstores.
- The development will be ready by the end of 2022.
