Business Plan & Achievements

Overarching masterplan outline planning consent achieved in 2013. Under this masterplan three major developments have taken place together with smaller development management initiatives.

Southern Quarter – Demolition of former Focus DIY and construction of 6 new restaurants amounting to 23,000 sq ft, anchored by TGI Fridays.

Northern Quarter – Redevelopment of a former Asda store to create modern units ranging from 10,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft with direct car park access. The stores were substantially leased at PC in 2018 to Aldi, B&M, Danish household goods chain JYSK and discount retailer, Poundstretcher.

Fashion Quarter – A new bus station and prime fashion mall redevelopment delivering more appropriate space for modern retail requirements. This delivered new flagship stores for Next, New Look, H&M and River Island along with 17 further new and refurbished units.

Conversion of former offices for a new letting to Pure Gym.

Reletting of a former House of Fraser store to provide a new Frasers and Sports Direct anchor.

Repurposing strategy of a former Debenhams which has delivered a wider leisure offer in the form of a Flip Out & Putt Putt Noodle.

Planning consent achieved for drive-thru pods in the car park.
